At the moment Naturospace is open 7/7 non-stop from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
At Naturospace, nature is considered in its entirety. Our vocation is not limited to showcasing species or recreating a tropical setting: it's based on an ongoing reflection on the place of living things, on our responsibilities and on how to conduct our business in an ethical, measured and sustainable way.
Like all modern zoos, Naturospace is committed to the profession's three core missions: education, conservation and scientific research. These missions structure our action and take shape through concrete commitments, adapted to our technical, human and financial resources. However, they are only part of a broader approach, based on respect for living beings and environmental responsibility.
On a day-to-day basis, our teams constantly reflect on the management of our resources: energy and water consumption, waste management and reduction, technical choices and operating methods designed to limit the site's environmental footprint. Each refurbishment or development project is the subject of in-depth analysis, whether it involves energy efficiency studies, alternative heating solutions or significant improvements to greenhouse insulation.
This global approach is also part of a collective, regional dynamic. It is in this context that Naturospace is naturally committed to working alongside the Département and the Région Normandie, by taking part in schemes such as the Tarif Bas Carbone (Low Carbon Tariff) and the environmental actions supported by the Destination d'Excellence initiative.
Without seeking to over-communicate, or to adopt a moralizing or anxiety-provoking discourse, Naturospace chooses concrete, progressive and sincere actions. We believe that wonder, understanding and example are more lasting levers than fear or injunctions.
This is the spirit behind our three fundamental missions, presented below: to transmit, protect and better understand living things, today and for future generations.
